An article that is popular is one that shows up in the top 4 to 10 on some of the main pages. A popular article will show a small (optional) graphic along with a terse text blub describing the article. The most popular article however is known as the featured article and it shows up at the very top of the page with a large (optional) graphic and an expanded blurb. All other articles, which are not popular or featured but still show up on a page are called listed articles.
