Submission and Comments Policy

1. In general, the First Amendment's "freedom of speech" is the rule here. All comments appear immediately. Members may post a comment at most any place on this site at will. HOWEVER: All comments are moderated. At the discretion of the staff these comments may be deleted, hidden or edited (to remove offending portions or for clarity.) In any case where a comment is edited by Staff, then standard editoral notation will be left to indicate such actions when circumstances permit. Private messages may be left to the Staff to contest such actions.

2. Comments will, unless moderated, persist at the site indefinately. (Please, do not post comments "in the heat of the moment" that will cause you difficulty one (1) or even five (5) years later.)

3. Personal attacks against other members or other persons in general, especially libelous or defamatory comments, are not allowed. Any incident thereof is grounds for immediate termination of membership. (In case of termination for potentional libel, comments will typically not be deleted but administriatively hidden.)

4. The posting of any material (text, images or otherwise) which is considered explicitly obscene to persons under the age of 18 may result in the immediate and irrepreable termination of your membership privileges.

5. You and you alone, are responsible for your comments.

6. Anyone may reply to your comments in any manner they wish, so as long as it doesn't violate Comment Policy or the Community Agreement. (Only other members of this site are allowed to reply to your comments.)

7. Please keep your comments limited to the context of what you were originally commenting on.

8. Write clearly and with deliberation.

9. Except in the sections dealing with the arts and story telling, please tell the truth, with details and specifics where useful.

10. Respect the privacy of others.

11. Respect the rights of others to have their own opinions on matters (which may be very different than your own).

12. Respect Copyright. Do not post any material (writings, images, etc) other than your own without explicit permission from the author. Materials that have fallen into the Public Domain are of course exempt.

13. The content and language thereof of comments should be appropriate for all ages. Indecent or offensive language may be moderated (or reported). This is a community website, and as such the comments may be read by any person living in YOUR COMMUNITY, ranging from preschoolers just learning to read to the long retired. This by no means should be read as indicating you can not have intellectually dense, articulate comments or disccusions of mature matters, but simply that you should "check you language" as you would normally at any community gathering where there is mixed company and small children running about.

14. All messages or content on this site, private or otherwise, without warning or notice, may be monitored by Law Enforcement with the intent of preventing underage child predation. (In fact, special hidden accounts do exist and have already been given for this specific purpose.)

15. Do not place commercial messages in any place other than the community directory or the classifieds.

16. Do not place SPAM advertisments in the comments.

17. The Staff reserves the right to delete, hide, edit, etc any comment they wish, at any time, for any reason, without further explaination. (Unintended "accidents" may happen from time to time however. If you feel moderation of your message could not have been anything other than unintentional, you may of course leave a private enquiry as to the matter.)

18. Cedar Grove Design is NOT responsible or liable for any content posted by its members on the site.

19. "Private" messages are only viewable by the site Staff and the Author. "Report this as inappropriate" messages are only viewable by the Staff. (Look at the list of members to see the names of all Staff members.)
