Hi. Just mentioning your photo is appearing black. You probably noticed that already. Sometimes the jpegs you might upload from a digitial camera are in a slightly out-of-spec format which the photo software this site uses doesn't know how to display — so you get a black image. :)

The few times I've gotten a black image, that's what's going on.

I'm going to make it so when you upload a photo and that happens that you are explicitly told this is happening and what to do about it.

In the mean time, if you simply take the photo, load it into something like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop and resave it this will generally get rid of the problem. (Those programs will save the image properly.)
